Write a Conclusion That Answers the Research Question
The conclusion should bring the research together.
Start by returning to the central question and explaining what your research allows you to say about it. Then consider the contribution of the study, its important limitations, and possible directions for future research.

A reader finishing your conclusion should understand three things:
- What you investigated.
- What you discovered.

The first draft is supposed to be imperfect.

Be Careful With Academic Integrity and AI Tools
Academic integrity should be considered throughout the research process, not just before submission.
Keep track of your sources, distinguish your own ideas from other researchers’ arguments, and record quotations accurately. Never add a citation simply because a source appears to support an argument you haven’t actually checked.
AI tools require the same care. University policies differ, so check your institution’s rules before using AI for brainstorming, editing, coding, data analysis, or drafting. Some courses may allow limited assistance while others may require you to disclose or avoid certain uses.

A thesis becomes much easier to manage when you stop thinking about the final word count and concentrate on the research problem in front of you.
